Catering Delivery Driver

Jules Gourmet Catering – Boulder, CO is looking for enthusiastic, detail-oriented individuals to join our team of skilled delivery drivers! We are in a constant state of growth and continue to look for individuals who are able to handle a fast paced work environment.
Duties & Skills Include:
• Possession of valid driver’s license
• Minimum age 24
• Ability to comfortably operate a company work van
• Ability to self manage and work well with strict deadlines
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• General knowledge of Boulder & Denver Areas
• Excellent customer service skills
• Set up and breakdown of delivery buffets
• Complete basic cleanup of vans and equipment

Prior hospitality, catering or driving experience a plus!

Catering Cook

Job brief

We are looking for an ambitious Catering Cook to assist in the preparation of delicious dishes in the kitchen. You’ll perform routine kitchen tasks such as setting up workstations and ingredients, so that food can be prepared according to recipes.

A great banquet cook will be quick and diligent and willing to improve on the job. You will be deft and able to follow instructions as well as all health and safety rules in the kitchen. The ideal candidate will also be able to function in a fast-paced, busy environment as a part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Follow the prep list created by chefs to plan duties

• Label and stock all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible

• Measure ingredients and seasonings to be used in cooking

• Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat etc.

• Undertake basic cooking duties such as reducing sauces, parboiling food etc.

• Prepare simple dishes such as salads, entrees etc.

• Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash etc.

• Ensure all food and other items are stored properly

• Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines

• Perform other kitchen duties as assigned

· Requirements:

• Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen

• Manual dexterity able to operate cutting tools and kitchen utensils

• A team player with good communication skills

• Patient, with an ability to stay positive under pressure

• Line cook experience on multiple stations is an asset

• High school diploma or equivalent is desirable; Training from a culinary school will be an asset

• ServSafe Certification a plus

Catering Staff/Bartenders

Job Type: Part Time: Varying afternoon/evening/weekend hours for social events & weddings.


Principal Duties/Tasks and Responsibilities
• Assist event supervisor in the serving of guests during events to ensure positive guest experience
• Set up venue as requested by the event supervisor to include furniture, glassware, service ware, linens, etc.
• Set up buffets with food presentation standards and practices in mind, ensuring safe food handling
• Quickly remove dishes as guests finish at the end of each meal or function and check with guests to ensure satisfaction
• Clean up venue after event ends and assist with other closeout tasks
• Loading & Unloading Vehicles
• Always on time, appropriately dressed and ready to perform required duties
• Perform other related functions that may be assigned


Job Requirements
• Lifts and transports up to 50 lbs.
• Reliable transportation
• Frequently reaches, lifts, stoops, bends and cleans to maintain service area
• Walks and stands during entire shift
• Able to communicate effectively with event supervisor, guests and teammates.


Essential Skills and Experience
• Outstanding customer care and attention to detail
• Good verbal communication skills
• Quick learner
• Restaurant, Kitchen or Catering experience a plus!
• Driver’s license and good driving record
